Stop senseless mayhem now

Jatuporn Polpaka was a nine-year-old Grade 3 student at Wat Bamphen Nua in Hua Mark. As usual every morning at 7am, he and his elder brother would take bus No.113 from the stop near their home, headed for school.

But the bus route between Min Buri and Hua Lamphong runs through a 5km stretch along Ramkhamhaeng Road widely known among bus drivers and conductors, as well as regular commuters, to be a high-risk zone as it has become a regular battleground between rival students of two vocational colleges, Hua Mark Industry and Techno Bangkapi.

Like most commuters who are largely in the low-income bracket, the two boys had no option but to use this bus route despite the danger. Yesterday morning, they took the usual ride, little knowing that this would be the last ride to school for Jatuporn.

Isn't there a saying that our children are our future? If so, I hope the future never find it's way into the hands of these violent and malicious group of children.

Hang them. A life for a life. Pity the parents of the deceased boy.

I wonder what the parents reaction was when the two idiots apologised for killing their son.

Investigate how the hooligan vocational students got gun with them. If it is from their home and belonged to the parent, then the parent should be put behind bars. It is becoming more and more like the US now. Students bring gun to school and start shooting innocent students.

Such violence needs drastic measures. 1) Expel all students known to have taken part in "gang wars" and other violence. 2) If the violence continues after that, CLOSE THE TECHNICAL SCHOOL ... permanently if necessary. Would any other country put up with this nonsense?

They have guns - the authority needs to investigate where, whom and how they got guns. Who are behind these children.
